Service Level Agreement
Last updated: Early Access. This SLA is a draft pending legal review.
1. Scope
This SLA describes the availability we aim for on the AthenaDB activation edge and portal during Early Access. AthenaDB software you run on your own infrastructure is governed by the license terms, not by this SLA.
2. Availability target
During Early Access we target 99.5% monthly availability for the licensing and activation edge. Because the product is pre-GA, this target is aspirational and is not backed by service credits until general availability.
3. Outages are invisible for normal use
AthenaDB instances operate from a signed local license cache through a generous offline-grace window (typically 30 days), so a licensing-server outage does not interrupt your workloads. Offline and air-gapped activation, and a customer-hosted enterprise license server, are available for disconnected environments.
4. Continuity of trust
The licensing trust anchor is pinned with overlapping dual-key rotation, so a key rotation can never invalidate fielded clients. The signing key is held in a secure vault and signs without export.
5. Auditability
Licensing lifecycle and trust decisions are written to append-only, hash-chained, SIEM-exportable audit logs, so you can independently verify activation and trust events.
6. Maintenance
We may perform maintenance that briefly affects the edge or portal, and aim to announce planned maintenance in advance where practical.
7. Support
Early-Access support is provided on a best-effort basis via [email protected].
